2,42,000 KUWAITIS AND EXPATS WILL TRAVEL DURING THE 10-DAY HOLIDAY IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: During the ten-day national holidays, more than 242,000 citizens and residents would travel through Kuwait International Airport, according to official data received by the daily. Travelers' favourite destinations are Istanbul, Cairo, Dubai, and Jeddah. More than 242,000 citizens and residents will travel through Kuwait International Airport between February 24 and March 5.


 More than 55% of them, or approximately 133,541 citizens and residents, will depart Kuwait from the airport, while 44%, or approximately 108,494 people and residents, will arrive. The number of individuals departing Kuwait over the national holidays outnumbers those arriving by 23%, a difference of 25,047 passengers. Kuwait International Airport will see around 2,280 flights throughout the 10-day holiday, with an average of 228 flights each day. During the holidays, there are around 1,141 inbound and outgoing flights, with an average of 114 inbound and departing flights every day. 

Given that 242,000 passengers will be flying on 2,280 flights during the holidays, the average number of passengers on board each trip is 106. During the holidays, the average number of passengers on each flight leaving Kuwait is around 117, compared to 59 people on each flight arriving in Kuwait from February 24 to March 5.
