THOUSANDS EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE IN 12TH TERRY FOX RUN IN RAX TODAY

Dubai: The popular Terry Fox Run is set to return to Ras Al Khaimah for its 12th edition today.


Thousands of people will gather on a single platform to pay tribute to cancer victims all over the world for the fund raiser, which has so far raised Dh8 million for UAE cancer research projects. Residents of the UAE can register for the fund raising at the website starting at 7 a.m. on February 26. At 9 a.m., the run will commence. 

Under the auspices and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE and Ruler of RAK, and in collaboration with the Saqr Bin Mohammad Ali Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, the family fun run and walk is being organised. The event's proceeds will be donated to the UAE University in Al Ain, which will use them to continue Terry Fox-funded cancer research studies.
