KUWAIT IS RANKED 22ND IN THE WORLD IN TERMS OF US ARMS PURCHASES

Kuwait City: The Wall Street website 24/7 lists the top 25 arms buyers in the United States. At that global level, Kuwait ranks 22nd on this list. Kuwait ranks second only to Gulf countries. Kuwait bought $ 1.37 billion worth of weapons from the United States between 2010 and 2020.


About 75.4 per cent of the total arms purchased during the same period were imported from the USA. At the same time, in 2020, Kuwait's defense sector will spend a total of $ 6.94 billion, or 6.5 percent of GDP. Oman is ranked 25th in the list. 

Oman bought $ 0.78 billion worth of weapons from the US between 2010 and 2020. Morocco is ranked 17th. Saudi Arabia was the largest buyer of arms from the US during this period. The UAE is fourth and Qatar is 11th.
