THE ABOLITION OF PCR REQUIREMENT HAS BEEN LAUDED

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti Instructors Association Chairman Hamad Al-Houli applauded the Cabinet's decision to remove the requirement for teachers and students 16 and older who have not been vaccinated to present PCR test results proving they are not infected with Corona. He stated that the decision is consistent with the association's stance on such a contentious requirement, which contradicts the prior decision of the Council of Ministers to repeal the negative PCR test result required for unvaccinated State personnel. He emphasised that the most recent ruling ensures justice and equality for all State employees. He then underlined the association's demand that the Education Ministry develop a suitable environment for persons working in the area and meet all of the needs of school administrations, particularly in resolving the labour shortage issue.

Employees who resigned from government agencies and re-registered in the central employment system, on the other hand, are not given priority in the recruitment process. According to sources, the ranking of job applicants will be published on April 1, indicating that the criteria for prioritising applicants have not changed.
