Kuwait City: Kuwait Airways Corporation's job advertisement and recruitment practises were addressed by the parliamentary Human Resources Affairs Committee in the last three years. Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Abdulwahab Al-Rashid, as well as the head of the KAC Board of Directors, did not attend the meeting and did not apologise for their absence, according to committee rapporteur MP Ahmad Mutei Al- Azmi. He then asked the ministers to take responsibility and attend committee meetings so that the latter could finish their reports. He invited the Minister of Justice and the Minister of State for the Enhancement of Integrity to the next meeting of the committee to discuss the recruitment practises used by the Ministry of Justice's Experts Department in recent years.

He added that the committee was also entrusted with looking into the recruitment methods used by Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), and its subsidiaries in the last three years. He confirmed that the committee had already sent invitations to the ministers in question, emphasising the significance of their attendance in panel meetings. Meanwhile, Assembly Observer MP Osama Al-Shaheen met on Tuesday with Arlie Taylor, Deputy Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) at the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), and Dr. Graeme Ramshaw, Director of Research and Evaluation at WFD, who were accompanied by Sunny Ahmed, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Kuwait, and Matt Nottingham, Head of the Political Section at the embassy.
