VIOLATION OF RESIDENCY AND EMPLOYMENT LAWS, 121 EXPATRIATES ARRESTED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Public Security Department has released a weekly report on the activities of the Security Directorates of the six Governorates and the Special Task Force of Maj. Gen. Faraj Al-Soubi, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior. During the past week, the Public Security Department has conducted inspections at 296 security checkpoints. Of these, eight were on the wanted list for criminal offenses. 


28 expatriates who were reported to be absconding and 121 expatriates were arrested for violating residency and employment laws. A total of 189 people were arrested for not possessing documents. Twenty-four drug-related cases and 12 alcohol-related cases were reported. The figures also show that 2,126 cases were reported to the Public Security Operations Room.
