KUWAITI CLEANERS ARE IN SHORT SUPPLY DUE TO THE STANDOFF

Kuwait City: The Ministry of Education is facing a fresh dilemma in terms of hygiene and cleanliness, as financial controllers have refused to pay cleaning businesses any dues unless they pay the fines they have accumulated. The Ministry of Education's concerned officials are attempting to address the problem of a cleaner shortage in schools by reaching an agreement with the companies who provide cleaners and exempting them from some of the fines levied on them during the COVID-19 period. The financial controllers, on the other hand, refused to pay any money to the corporations until they paid the penalty.

This indicates that the cleaners' shortage will last until the end of the school year. According to educational sources, the ministry has reached an arrangement with the cleaning businesses to postpone a portion of the fines owed to them in exchange for their commitment to offer at least two to three cleaners at each school within the contracts they have signed. This deal would have addressed Kuwait's job situation, which has become a major issue in nearly all of the country's schools. It has gotten to the point that school administrators hire street cleaners who are paid directly by the school administrations to do the cleaning.
