Kuwait City: Out of the 1,303 job grades requested by the Ministry of Education to contract with non-Kuwaiti instructors for the 2022/2023 academic year, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) has officially decided to waive the prohibition on 971 job grades for the second contract. CSC affirmed its approval of the continuation of lifting the ban on 299 vacant jobs in the remaining second contract of the previous 2021/2022 academic year, as well as lifting the ban on 672 vacancies in the second contracts within the ministry's 2022/2023 budget, which is the number of end-of-service decisions, in a letter addressed to the Ministry of Education.

CSC requested that it be provided with the rest of the 336 vacancies to complete the number required to lift the ban, stressing the need to observe several conditions, including that none of them had been included in the canceled jobs in the ministry’s draft budget for the 2022/2023 fiscal year, and not be among the suspended contracts in implementation of the decision of CSC regarding the rules and procedures for Kuwaitization of government jobs.
