MEW HIRES 914 KUWAITI WORKERS

Kuwait City: From January through May of this year, 914 Kuwaitis were appointed to technical and administrative positions in the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. According to the report, these Kuwaitis were appointed through the additional appropriation item of the fiscal 2021/2022 budget and through the nomination of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), which is in charge of appointments in government agencies.


According to the figures, the number of employees in the ministry reached 29,061; 28,118 Kuwaitis or 96.8 percent of the overall workforce, while 943 non-Kuwaiti employees or 3.2 percent — a 38 percent decline during the aforementioned time.
