KUWAIT CUSTOMS REQUIRES TRAVELERS TO DECLARE CURRENCY IN POSSESSION OF MORE THAN 3,000 DINARS

Kuwait City: The General Administration of Customs has announced that it will continue to make all preparations to facilitate procedures for travelers crossing the border to and from Kuwait by land, sea and air during the Eid holiday and other holidays. Electronic services have been engaged to facilitate customs procedures. As per Law No. (106) of 2013 on Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing, security procedures have been enhanced through electronic systems. 


Director General of Customs General Administration Sulaiman Abdul Aziz Al Fahd informed that every person entering or leaving the country through the various ports of Kuwait must disclose to the authorities if they are in possession of currencies or negotiable financial instruments that exceed 3000 Kuwaiti dinars or its equivalent in foreign currency.
