OVER A MILLION TOURISTS HAVE BEEN TO ISRAEL SINCE THE YEAR BEGAN

1 million and 37 thousand foreign visitors came to Israel in the first half of 2022, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Israel started to allow visitors who had received the necessary vaccinations on January 9 and totally removed the restrictions on March 1. 47 thousand tourists entered the nation in January, followed by 90.4 thousand in February, 168.9 thousand in March, 216.4 thousand in June, 262.7 thousand in May, and 252.3 thousand in June.

Remember that 4.5 million visitors visited Israel in 2019, 887 thousand did so in 2020 due to the epidemic, and just 402.3 thousand did so in 2021.

In the first six months, 766,700 Israelis travelled outside of the country, nearly matching the number from before the crisis.
