Kuwait City: Indian Ambassador to Kuwait, Sibi George, is expected to be chosen as India's new Ambassador to Japan. According to Indian media sources, Ambassador Sibi George will succeed Indian envoy to Japan Sanjay Kumar Verma, who would become the new Indian Ambassador to Canada. However, this has not been formally confirmed. The story made no mention of the new Indian ambassador to Kuwait.

Ambassador Sibi George, who established a new standard for the Indian embassy in Kuwait, was highly greeted by both the Indian community and Kuwaitis. He has successfully transformed the image of the Indian embassy into a second home for the large majority of Indians residing in Kuwait.

He has launched numerous new community-benefit activities and promoted Indians among the locals. The departure of Ambassador George from Kuwait will be a great loss to the community. Ambassador Sibi George has previously served in Switzerland, Cairo, Doha, Islamabad, Washington, DC, Tehran, and Riyadh.
