INDIAN EMBASSY IN KUWAIT CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY

Kuwait City: The Indian Embassy in Kuwait organized a grand celebration of India's Independence Day. The festivities started at eight in the morning. Ambassador Sibi George paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The National Flag was then hoisted and the National Anthem was sung and the President's Independence Day message was read by the Ambassador at the function. 


The Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber, and His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber have wished Sabah continued good health and well-being. In his speech, the Ambassador expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude to the Government and friendly people of Kuwait, all well-wishers and friends of Kuwait, especially the leadership, government and people of Kuwait, for their unwavering commitment. 

The Indian Embassy had started the bus camp as part of the Independence Day celebrations. The Indian Embassy is celebrating 75 years of independence and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Kuwait. The bus campaign which is a part of this was started last day at the embassy courtyard in the diplomatic enclave. Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Sibi George and Foreign Media Relations Assistant Under-Secretary H. E Mazan Al Ansari together carried out the flag-off of 100 KGL buses running through the streets of Kuwait as part of the campaign. On the back side of the buses, there are markers of the historical relationship between the two countries.
