ROBBERY OF PROMINENT KERALITE GROUPS JEWELERY IN OMAN, THREE ARRESTED

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police arrested three people who robbed a prominent Keralite group's jewelery store in Ruwi High Street, Oman. All the three arrested are of Asian origin. The stolen gold ornaments were recovered from them. The Royal Oman Police said in a statement that they had melted down the jewelery to be smuggled out of the country.


The thieves were brought to the jewelery store on Sunday and evidence was collected. The robbery took place on Thursday morning. They entered by cutting the shutter and stole the jewelery by breaking the glass door. After completing the robbery, they returned in eight minutes. The thieves were caught from a residence in Al Khuwair on the basis of CCTV footage. It is indicated that they are natives of Afghanistan.
