Kuwait City: According to official statistics, there are more citizens than expatriates in the age groups of one to 29 years old, but there are fewer citizens in the older age groups than there are expatriates. According to the most recent statistical report from the Central Statistics Bureau, 862,171 out of 1,420,836 citizens, or 60% of the total, are in the age range of one to 29 years old. In contrast, 685,585 out of 2,796,064 expatriates, or 24.5 percent, are in the same age range.

In contrast, fewer citizens than expatriates are in the older age groups; 105,417 citizens are between the ages of 30 and 34, compared to 148,989 expatriates. Between the ages of 35 and 39, there are 89,932 citizens as opposed to 352,477 foreigners. The number of citizens in the 40s is almost six times higher than that of their foreign-born counterparts, with 73,841 citizens in the 40 to 44 age group and 71,620 in the 45 to 49 age group, respectively, compared to 426,758 foreign-born individuals.

With 60,107 citizens versus 302,941 expatriates in the 50 to 54 age group and 50,639 citizens versus 200,962 expatriates in the 55 to 59 age group, respectively, the situation is almost identical and the proportion of expatriates to citizens is four to five times higher. In older age groups, where there are three times as many foreigners as Americans (38,667 Americans vs. 126,433 foreigners in the 60 to 64 age group), the difference is less pronounced.

In the 65 to 69 age group, there are 2.5 times as many foreigners as Americans: 28,897 foreigners versus 71,248 Americans. With the exception of the group of people aged 70 to 74, where there are nearly twice as many expatriates (17,661 citizens compared to 33,215 expatriates), the statistics for the much older age group are essentially the same. In the group of people aged 75 to 79, there are 11,089 citizens compared to 13,315 citizens, and in the group of people aged 80 and over, there are 10,795 citizens compared to 10,173 foreigners.
