KUWAIT MANPOWER AUTHORITY MADE FINGERPRINTING OF WORKERS MANDATORY ON WORK PERMITS

Kuwait City: Manpower Authority with new system to ensure worker welfare. The new system aims to ensure the protection of workers and to give private sector workers and domestic workers their economic rights. The relevant departments of the authority suggest that the work permit cancellation form should be fingerprinted to ensure that the full financial dues of the worker are received.


Sources in the Manpower Authority said that this step will ensure that the terms of the clearance between the worker and the employer are finally met and the first party gets its financial dues. The form prepared by the authority has been set up in the automated system in five different languages. It shall be considered as a liability between the two parties, be it the employee or the employer. 

The Authority's Labor Relations Department will continue to receive complaints and labor observations on a daily basis in its various departments and will work with full capacity to resolve labor-employer issues and enforce the law, the officials said.
