Kuwait City: As part of efforts made by the government and private organisations to get ready for the new school year, Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company will resume providing meals for kindergartens. After being suspended for two years due to the Corona pandemic, the company's chief executive officer, Mutlaq Al-Zayed, confirmed that meals selected by the Education Ministry for kindergartens are once again being provided.

Considering the ongoing decline in the number of Coronavirus cases, he said: "We are optimistic that we are returning to normal life. Since the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has approved our products, the company is eager to expand its capacity to offer meals of the highest calibre.

He clarified that the business provides food to kindergartens in four governorates, noting that the other governorates entered into agreements with private nutrition firms. He revealed that the business will provide 132 kindergartens with a total of 30,000 meals per day. He added that the business had previously collaborated with the ministry on the national project for healthy school canteens, which was designed to enhance students' health and safeguard them against non-communicable diseases.
