ABU DHABI POLICE INCREASED FINES FOR TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

Abu Dhabi:  Abu Dhabi Police has increased fines for traffic violations. A fine of up to 50,000 dirhams (over 10 lakh Indian rupees) is levied for various offences. The police have decided to increase the amount of fine as a part of tightening the action against traffic violations. 


According to the new notification, a fine of up to 50,000 dirhams (more than 10 lakh Indian rupees) will be levied for racing on the road. The vehicle will be impounded. Driving without a number plate, damaging police vehicles, violating traffic signals can also be fined up to 50,000 dirhams. Meanwhile, pedestrians who do not give priority can be fined up to Dh5,000. 

Violations such as over speeding, changing the course of the vehicle without warning, driving without following the distance limit, putting children under the age of five in the front seat, etc. will incur a fine of up to 5000 dirhams. If you make changes without a permit, including the engine, the fine is 10,000 dirhams.
