IRANIAN MAN PASSES AWAY AT AGE 94 AFTER NOT BATHING FOR 50 YEARS

A hermit dubbed "the world's dirtiest man" by the media died at the age of 94, just months after getting his first wash in decades. Amou Haji had refused to use soap and water for over 50 years, fearing that it would make him sick.

The Iranian, who lived in the southern province of Fars, had previously avoided attempts by villagers to clean him up. According to local media, Amou Haji finally gave in to pressure and washed a few months ago. He fell ill shortly after and died on Sunday, according to Iran's IRNA news agency.
