Philippine government is reviewing the labor agreement with Kuwait

Kuwait City, Jan 30: The Manila Times of the Philippines reported that the Manila government will review its labor agreement with Kuwait in the wake of the recent murder of a domestic worker. The newspaper stated that the Secretary of the Philippine Ministry of Migrant Workers, Susan Ople, issued an order to reconsider and review the labor agreement concluded with Kuwait to provide more protection for expatriate Filipino workers.

Opel also directed a reassessment of the recruitment process and standards for Filipinos seeking to work abroad to ensure their interests, and this includes a thorough examination of the tracking records of recruitment agencies.
