Traveling with gold bars from Kuwait prohibited except with “issued statement”

Kuwait City: An informed source confirmed that citizens and residents traveling abroad from Kuwait with gold bars must obtain a statement regarding these bars from the Air Cargo Customs Department at Kuwait Airport before traveling, within the framework of adherence to the applicable customs procedures, especially since large quantities of gold have left with travelers during the recent period.
