World’s ocean temperature reached a record-breaking high this week

The temperature of the world’s oceans reached a record-breaking high this week, and it’s not looking like it’s going to end anytime soon. According to the latest data from the European Union Copernicus climate change service, average global ocean surface temperatures reached 20.96°C last week, which is higher than the previous record set in 2016 when it was 20.95°C.
