American woman dies after drinking water excessively

A 35-year-old American woman died of "water poisoning" after she drank water excessively during a short period of time. Ashley Summers, a mother of two, was spending the weekend with her family in Lake Freeman, Indiana, and she felt symptoms of dehydration, which prompted her to take 4 bottles of water in 20 minutes.

After returning home, Ashley lost consciousness and was transferred to the hospital, but she never regained consciousness, and succumbed to the "water toxicity" that led to her death, according to American media.
