2.43 million expats are residing in Kuwait

Approximately 2.43 million foreign nationals, including domestic employees,  are residing in Kuwait, according to the most recent data released by the Central Administration of Statistics. The total number of employed individuals in the local labour market, which includes both domestic workers and citizens, is estimated to be approximately 2,877 million as of the June 2023, compared to 2.79 million at the end of last year. 

These individuals hail from 174 countries worldwide, with Indians making up the largest portion, 30.2%, of the local labor force. Egypt is the second largest contributor to the labor market, accounting for 483, 450 workers, while Kuwaiti nationals occupy the third position, with approximately 447,000 workers.
