Asian expatriate accused of cancelling violation in exchange of money

An Asian expatriate working at a government  agency was referred for prosecution by Residence Affairs Investigation officers on allegations of accepting a bribe in return for cancelling a violation issued against a restaurant.


Further investigation showed that the expat was working for the employee who was doing the illegal work. The officer reached out to the expat asking for his assistance in cancelling the violation issued against the restaurant. The expat demanded 2,000 Dinars.
