Kuwait will implement countrywide crackdown on violators following June 30

The Ministry of Interior, along with its various field security sectors, is set to launch an extensive security operation targeting individuals who have violated the Residency Law. This operation will commence once the two-week grace period for them to either leave the country or regularize their status expires on Sunday, June 30. According to sources within the ministry, this campaign will be carried out across all governorates and will encompass key locations such as the Deportation Prison, the Juvenile Welfare Department building at the Sulaibiya Prison Complex, the Accommodation Department, and the Detention Department building within the Residency Investigations General Department building near the United Nations Roundabout (formerly Al-Azham). It was further mentioned that these facilities have the capacity to house approximately 3,500 individuals in anticipation of their deportation following the completion of necessary legal and administrative procedures.
