Egyptian sentenced to 7 years in jail for committing fraud

The Court of Appeal has upheld the harsh penalties given to an Egyptian employee working at Kuwait Towers in a recent ruling. The employee has been sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment with hard labor and has been terminated from his position. In addition, he has been fined 58,000 dinars and has been ordered to return 29,000 dinars. These penalties were imposed after he was found guilty of selling counterfeit Kuwait Towers tickets. The verdict also included a fine double the amount embezzled and mandated the return of the misappropriated funds.
