Khalid Al-Dakhnan, Chairman of the Kuwait Union of Domestic Labor Offices (KUDLO), announced that the union's delegation in Ethiopia has successfully finalized a sub-agreement based on the main agreement regarding the recruitment of Ethiopian domestic workers to Kuwait. This agreement comes after the Ethiopian Ministry of Labor had previously suspended the process. Al-Dakhnan stated that the agreement includes a salary of KD90, which covers all benefits mandated by Kuwaiti law number 68/2015, such as indemnity, leave days, and other entitlements.
He is looking forward to the arrival of Ethiopian domestic workers in the near future, especially after the recent decision to grant visas to foreigners. He stated that the signed sub-agreement will be transmitted to the Ethiopian Embassy in Kuwait for the labor attaché to carry out the necessary steps.
