The Director General and Advisor to the Union of Owners of Domestic Labor Recruitment Offices, Abdulaziz Al-Ali, revealed that there was an urgent virtual meeting, held today, via the “Zoom” program between the President of the Union, Khaled Al-Dakhnan, and his Filipino counterpart, to inform us of the latest developments in the process of resuming the recruitment of workers from Manila.
Al-Ali explained to Al-Jarida that the meeting was preceded by another gathering of the Philippine Union and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor in Manila, to discuss the items of the regulation regarding controls and requirements for the export of labor, which includes the recruitment steps, documents required to be available by the Kuwaiti local offices to conclude initial employment contracts which is known as “job order”. Al-Ali pointed out that the Philippine Federation informed us of the adoption of this aforementioned regulation on the 22nd of this month, provided that local offices will be allowed to visit the labor attaché at the embassy in the country on the following day (23rd of this month) in order to submit “job order” applications.
