Not Just Dubai: Abu Dhabi and Ajman Ranked Safest Cities in the UAE

While Dubai is often seen as the face of the UAE, recent findings from the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre reveal that Abu Dhabi and Ajman are the safest cities in the country. The Security Quality of Life Survey highlighted that both cities ranked highest for daytime safety, with Ajman and the capital, Abu Dhabi, scoring an impressive 100%.

Ajman also stood out for night-time safety, with 99% of residents reporting that they felt secure walking alone after dark — a slight improvement from its 98.5% score in 2023. This growing sense of safety reinforces Ajman's image as a desirable place to live and work.

According to Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ajman Police, this achievement is the result of cutting-edge security strategies. These include the "Ajman: A Safe Home" smart monitoring system, AI-based surveillance, smart gates, enhanced police patrolling, and rapid emergency response mechanisms.

The Ajman Police have also implemented several initiatives to improve response times and strengthen public engagement, such as community policing programs and social protection units. These efforts have brought the police closer to the community, building trust and enhancing security.

Major General Al Nuaimi credited the continuous support from Ajman’s leadership — including Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan — for driving these advancements. He added that such achievements not only boost public confidence but also support national initiatives like "We the UAE 2031", Ajman Vision 2030, and UAE Centennial 2071, which aim for a prosperous, secure future for the nation.
