KUWAIT LAUNCHES FIRST MOBILE VIRTUAL NETWORK OPERATOR

Kuwait City : Kuwait’s Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) announced  the launching of the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), aimed at attracting foreign investors . To  be  run by Virgin Mobile Middle East and Africa (VMMEA) and Kuwait Telecom Company (STC), the authority said  that this step will boost competition in Kuwait’s market.


It will also provide multiple new services in Kuwait with competitive prices, as well as provide job opportunities for both citizens and expats .The license  rely on  a direct contract with a licensed telecommunications company in Kuwait, to buy its services as a whole and resell them to individuals.
