EXPATS WITH EXPIRED RESIDENCE PERMITS GETS ONE MORE CHANCE

Kuwait City : Kuwait has announced another grace period for expats living without residence in the country, offering them one month to either to legalise their status or exit the country. Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al Ali issued the ministerial decree extending the grace period upto May 15.The deadline for those expatriates was due to expire on April 15 .The extension comes as a relief for residents whose residence permits have expired as ministry of interior has urged them to renew and validate their status during the new extension period.


Expats are not allowed to enter the country since January this year as part of efforts to contain the spread of the virus Kuwait, only certain categories related to health services and domestic workers are allowed with strict restrictions so any exodus of expats will see a huge repercussion in the labour market
