KUWAIT IMPOSES TRAVEL BAN ON UNVACCINATED CITIZENS,BAN ON EXPATS TO CONTINUE

The latest circular from The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has guidelines for all Airlines operating at Kuwait International Airport (KIA). According to the circular, all Kuwaiti citizens, their 1st-degree relatives, and accompanying domestic help who are unvaccinated against COVID19 will be banned from traveling overseas from May 22nd, 2021. 

This travel ban does not extend to people in the age group who have not been directed by the government to be vaccinated. Also, the ban on immigrants is said to continue until the authorities decide on the matter. 

Following categories have been exempted from travel restrictions-
1. Those who received two doses of the vaccine and two weeks have passed since the second dose.
2. Those who received one dose of the vaccine and five weeks have passed
3. Those who recovered from infection with Coronavirus and received one dose of the vaccine and more than two weeks have passed.
