DIRECT ENTRY OF INDIANS TO KUWAIT, INDIAN AMBASSADOR HELD DISCUSSIONS WITH MINISTRY OF HEALTH

Kuwait City: Indian Ambassador Sibi George met Dr. Mustafa Redha, Undersecretary, Ministry of Health, Kuwait. They discussed issues related to the return of Indians, the embassy said in a statement. According to embassy officials, the two discussed various proposals to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the health sector, details related to vaccination of Indian expatriates, return of valid resident Indians, arrival of direct travelers from India and recruitment procedures for health workers.


Direct access to Kuwait for Indian nurses and their families will be allowed soon. He said that the process of certification of expatriates who have received the vaccine from abroad has been expedited and if there are any problems related to QR code scanning of the vaccination certificate, they will be resolved in real time. Mustafa Reda informed. Vaccination exemptions include children under the age of 18 and pregnant women, Dr Redha clarified. It is hoped that there will be clear procedures for direct entry of Indians in the coming days. The embassy said the meeting also discussed plans to create vaccination awareness among the Indian diaspora as part of the vaccination campaign.
