COUNTDOWN BEGUN TO REVOKE THE DECISION NOT TO RENEW WORK PERMIT FOR EXPATRIATES OVER 60 YEARS OF AGE

Kuwait City: A countdown has begun to revoke or amend the decision not to renew work permits for expatriates over the age of 60 who do not have a university degree. Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Manpower Authority Board of Directors, Dr. Abdullah Al Salman Authority will approve the appointment of Iman Al Ansari, Deputy Director General of the Human Resources Division, as the Director General of the Manpower Authority.


Al-Ansari will replace Ahmed al-Mousa, who has been suspended. Meanwhile, al-Mousa is being investigated for six offenses. The action was taken against al-Mousa on the basis of a letter from Qasim Bou Abbas, undersecretary of the Fatwa and Legislation Department. The fatwa agent's letter said that an investigation was needed against al-Moussa and that the first session should begin on October 27.
