EMERGENCY LANES ON EXPRESS HIGHWAYS TEMPORARILY CLOSED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Roads and Land Transportation has announced that emergency lanes on various express highways in the country will be temporarily closed. Emergency tracks are closed for road repairs and installation of manhole covers. Earlier, when highways were experiencing heavy congestion, allowing traffic through emergency lanes helped reduce traffic congestion.


The roads will be closed in phases and the first phase will be the closure of Fahaheel Road, Fifth Ring Road (Sheikh Zayed Road), King Fahad Road and Sixth Ring Road (Jasim Al Qarafi Road). The day before, the emergency route on the Fahaheel Expressway to Kuwait City was closed in coordination with the General Traffic Department and the Road Authority.
