Kuwait City:  Expatriates without a university degree above the age of 60 should not be deported. According to sources, the move comes ahead of a final decision by the Manpower Authority's board of directors on the renewal of work permits for those in the department. Thousands of expatriates are waiting for a decision on this issue.

There is a growing need for the Board of Directors of the Authority to see the suffering of thousands who have served in Kuwait for decades with dedication and sincerity. The decision not to renew work permits for expatriates without a university degree after the age of 60 had tarnished Kuwait's image globally.

In this case, the possibility of bringing a private insurance and avoiding the liability of the public health sector will solve the problems. Expatriates in this category have received great relief as the Manpower Authority and the Home Ministry have directed the concerned authorities not to deport expatriates who have not graduated from the university above the age of 60 years.
