WOMAN JAILED FOR 10 YEARS FOR KILLING DOMESTIC WORKER IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: A Kuwaiti national has been sentenced by a criminal court to 10 years in prison for killing a domestic worker. Her husband was also sentenced to one year in prison. Both have been charged with human trafficking and forced labor on the grounds of victim weakness. The Kuwaiti citizen has been charged with assaulting and harassing a domestic worker on a regular basis.


They had been torturing the worker for a long time. The worker's body was burned and beaten. According to the case file, the worker died as a result of severe torture. The court also found the husband guilty of deliberately neglecting his duty to care for his wife.
