TRAFFIC OFFENDERS ON THE RISE IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Traffic violations are on the rise in the country. Lack of fines for traffic violations and ease of payment for some have been cited as reasons for recurrence of violations.


Security sources said that intensive inspection campaigns are now underway to find traffic offenders. Many are now being caught on a daily basis. Last week alone, 302 minors were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. According to the General Traffic Department, about 24,000 traffic violations were reported during the week.
