Kuwait City: Sheikh Hamad Jaber al-Ali al-Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Ministerial Committee on Counter-Covid Affairs, has said that Kuwait will not close international airports, land and sea borders, despite the urgency of finding a new variant of Covid, Omikron, in some African countries.

The Minister said that in case of discovery of a new variant, there are precautions to be taken inside and outside Kuwait and it should be followed. All countries have suspended flights to certain countries in Africa as the genetically modified virus is becoming more dangerous. This is what the committee has to recommend. Currently, the health situation in the country is much better. Hamad Jaber Al Ali Al Sabah added that this is due to the efforts of our heroes in the Ministry of Health.
