OMICRON, MINISTRY OF HEALTH SAID THAT INSPECTION OF THOSE ARRIVING IN KUWAIT SHOULD BE STRENGTHENED

Kuwait City: An extraordinary cabinet meeting was held yesterday in the wake of the spread of the new genetically modified covid variant Omicron in several countries. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid. Minister of Health Basel al-Sabah dressed the cabinet. The health minister assured the cabinet that the health condition of the country was in good condition and that the intensive care wards were vacant. 


The Health Minister said that checks should be intensified on those arriving in Kuwait from different countries and precautionary measures should be taken to prevent the emergence of new variants. The Cabinet expressed satisfaction over the current state of health in the country. Emphasizing the importance of getting the booster vaccine, the ministry made it clear that it would not compromise on the health situation. Meanwhile, Omicron has already been confirmed in several countries, including Russia and Australia.
