COMMUNICATION AUTHORITY SAYS PORNOGRAPHIC WEBSITES AND APPLICATIONS ARE NOT BEING TRACKED IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Communications and Information Technology Commission has confirmed that pornographic websites and applications are not monitored or tracked. But the commission said it was accepting a number of requests and complaints that would study and confirm it. After this, steps are taken to block them. 


The commission was responding to a series of parliamentary queries by MPs Abdul Aziz Al Saqaibi and Salab al-Muthairi. They also questioned IT Minister Rana al-Faris about a mechanism to block pornographic and obscene websites and applications. There are no shortcomings in the law in the country. But the technology is constantly evolving. The commission said that it was necessary to update it regularly.
