Kuwait and the United Kingdom are discussing strengthening strategic ties

LONDON – Kuwait's Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Majdi Al-Dhifari, and James Cleverly, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, have discussed ways to strengthen the two countries' strategic and friendly relations.

Following their meeting at the UK Foreign Office on Thursday, the two officials expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation between Kuwait and the UK in a variety of domains in a press statement.

They emphasised the important role played by the UK-Kuwait Joint Steering Group in strengthening joint action since its inception ten years ago.

They also emphasised the importance of sticking to this successful mechanism in order to take bilateral relations to new heights.
They also discussed regional and international issues.
