PAKISTAN DEMANDS AN EXPANSION IN ITS WORFORCE FROM KUWAIT

Kuwait City: During a meeting with Kuwait's ambassador in Islamabad, Pakistani Prime Minister's Adviser for Expatriates Affairs and Human Resources, Muhammad Ayoub Afridi, stated that he called on Kuwait to increase Pakistani workforce and expressed gratitude to the ambassador for Kuwaiti government's decision to resume issuing work visas to Pakistanis.


Afridi added that he told Ambassador Nassar Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi that Pakistan offers a varied workforce that fits all of Kuwait's labour market standards. He also urged the two countries to further up cooperation and coordination in the exchange of data on migrant workers and the protection of their rights. In response, Kuwait's ambassador told him that he would discuss with the government of his nation the industries that could benefit from additional Pakistani labour based on their needs.
