FISH PRICES FALL SHARPLY IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Shark Fish Market is in full swing as the National Day celebrations are in full swing in the country. Those who work in the sector say that a turning point was expected three months ago, but it did not happen. Traders at the Shark Fish Market say prices have fallen sharply as demand has plummeted.

There are many reasons for this bad situation. The main reasons are living conditions, most of the fishermen are over 60 years of age and the high cost of renewing their residency. Renewal of residency costs 850 dinars. Because of this high amount, most sellers are in a state of non-renewal, which workers say significantly affects buying and selling. Traders say sales have not improved as part of the National Day celebrations.
