KUWAITI INSTITUTIONS CELEBRATE NATIONAL DAY BY PARTICIPATING IN HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES

Kuwait City: Institutions in Kuwait following humanitarian activities in connection with the National and Liberation Days. Institutions in Kuwait place great emphasis on providing assistance to the displaced and the poor, especially at the health and education levels. Last week, the charity focused on Yemen, Sudan, Jordan and Afghanistan. "Kuwait has been a leader in philanthropic, humanitarian and developmental activities in all Yemeni governorates for decades," said Salih al-Khaliqi, Under-Secretary-General of the Governorate, at the inauguration ceremony. He thanked the Emir, the government and the people of Kuwait for their support on this auspicious occasion.


The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development announced last Wednesday that it had signed a grant agreement with the UN Development Program worth 750,000 Kuwaiti dinars (equivalent to US $ 2.5 million).

In addition to providing food assistance and support to the electricity sector, Kuwaiti institutions have also provided assistance in the areas of relief and medical care.
