Kuwait City: The Ministry has received information about those who are illegally collecting money in the name of sick children. It is learned that representatives of such companies visit people's homes and accept donations without the permission of the government. The Ministry of Social Affairs, which represents the Department of Charitable Societies and Charities, has been monitoring companies operating in the name of publication, distribution and advertising and has found that such companies accept donations without permission. Unauthorized collection of donations is done under the guise of treating people with incurable diseases.

According to 'Al-Affair' sources, the administration's inspection teams have been informed that representatives of these companies have visited the residences of citizens and residents, taking advantage of their sympathy for the cases of sick children and requesting donations. These companies collect donations from the public without legal support or prior approval from the Ministry. By law, such donations must be approved by the Ministry before using them for charitable purposes.

Sources said that the ministry of commerce has been recommended to take necessary and expeditious legal action against these companies and protect their legal and charitable activities. The Charitable Societies and Charities Department is the legal authority authorized to oversee and regulate charitable activities. The provisions of Act No. 24 of 1962 regarding clubs and associations authorize any company to carry out its activities.

Violations of charitable activities by institutions or individuals are immediately monitored and removed by the Ministry's inspection team. It also monitors social media sites (Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook) and invites unlicensed donations. Strong action will be taken against illegal activities.
