KUWAIT'S CANCER CURE RATE EXCEEDS 80 PER CENT

Kuwait City: The cancer cure rate in the country has increased in recent years, said a consultant pediatrician at the Ministry of Health. Great Boursley. He was speaking at the Children's Hospital at Al Sabah Hospital for Children with Cancer, with the motto "A drop of your blood saves their lives."


In the fifties of the last century the cure rate for acute lymphoblastic leukemia did not exceed 20 percent. The incidence has risen to 80 percent in recent years. There are three major types of cancer treatment: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. He also pointed out that the treatment is chosen according to the patient's condition.
