SEVERE STORMS WREAK HAVOC IN THE UNITED STATES, KILLING AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE IN FLORIDA

Florida: As the massive weather front raced over several states, a line of severe storms with isolated tornadoes and high winds slammed across the Deep South overnight, killing at least two in the Florida Panhandle, collapsing trees and power lines and causing damage to houses and businesses.


A tornado struck the western Florida Panhandle on Thursday morning, killing two people and injuring two more, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

According to the sheriff's office, the tornado destroyed residences in the area. On its Facebook page, it showed at least one property that had been completely destroyed, as well as trees that had fallen on another house. Other information was not readily accessible. 

Following storm devastation in Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas, at least two verified tornadoes injured numerous people, destroyed homes and businesses, and toppled power lines in Mississippi and Tennessee on Wednesday.

According to poweroutage.us, which tracks utility outages, some 185,000 customers were without power Thursday morning as a result of the storm in a band of states including Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan.
