IN THE LAST THREE MONTHS, 27,200 EXPAT WORKERS HAVE LEFT KUWAIT

Kuwait City: According to a recent Central Administration of Statistics report, 27,200 expatriate workers departed the local labour market in just three months, suggesting that the number of foreign workers in the market was 1,479,545 in December of last year and has since reduced to 1,452,344.


Despite the decline in the population, Egyptians retained the top spot in the local labour market (excluding the family sector), followed by Indians, Bangladeshis in third place, Pakistanis, Filipinos, Syrians, Nepalese, Jordanians, and Iranians, in that order.
